Safe Families

When a parent or agency calls Safe Families for an intake, children are placed into a volunteer's home who have been trained and background checked. Volunteers' homes have been assessed for safety purposes. These volunteers host short-term for families in need in an attempt to keep children out of the foster system, help parents get back on their feet, and to keep families intact. The average hosting stay is about 6 weeks long.
