Bourbonnais Township Park District

Exploration Station... is a hands-on exploration and discovery facility for children and their families, teachers and caregivers. Children of all ages are welcome at the facility; however, the majority of the exhibits are designed for children between the ages of 2-8 years old.

The Bourbonnais Township Park District Preschool program's goal is to incorporate the Seven Domains of Learning within the curriculum and focus on the development of the whole child. Before, After & in Between Preschool options are available. Perry Farm Park is a dynamic 170-acre recreation area carved into one of the most beautiful natural settings in the state. This Park offers a variety of recreational opportunities for all ages including paved trails, open recreational fields, playground equipment, shelters, picnic areas, farm animals, Indian caves, fruit tree orchards, and memorial rose and flower gardens. Open Dawn to Dusk. Perry Farm Park is a Smoke Free Park.

Perry Farm offers many activities for all ages including: a 170+ acres of Prairie, Woods and Canyons, 4-miles of scenic walking trails, Perry Farm House, Summertime Animal Visitors, 250+ Recreations Programs, Oak Meadows, Indian Caves, Fruit Tree Orchards, Pond, Picnic Areas & Gazebos, Special Events and Concerts, Handicap Accessible.

Location: 1451 N 4000 E Rd, Kankakee IL 60901. Willowhaven Nature Center is a wonderful rental facility for your wedding, anniversary party, graduation party, etc. It has seating for up to 95 people. Outside find hiking trails, a playground, 9-hole disc golf course, wildflower gardens, nature-based playground, pavilion, fitness station and Dog Park. Ponds at the park also have bass, bluegill and crappie which is open for fishing year-round, catch and release only.

The Willowhaven Dog Park is the perfect spot for dogs and their human companions to hang out, socialize with other dogs and allow a large area to run and frolic.
