Services

Community Integrated Living Arrangement (CILA)

The Arc's Community Integrated Living Arrangement (CILA) Program is a residential program that is community-based, providing supports and services to people with developmental disabilities that choose to reside primarily in Iroquois County. The supports are designed to target individuals with developmental disabilities who have chosen to reside in rental/personally purchased/family homes within surrounding communities.

Developmental & Vocational Skill Training

Training is individually designed to meet individual needs. Program design supports people to develop the skills necessary to reach the maximum level of independence and participate more fully in the community. Training in areas such as motor development, hygiene, eating language, leisure time skills, as well as vocational training compose the core curriculum. Additional supports help individuals develop skills to make informed choices and increase their level of independence. Community integration is emphasized. Consultant services include: Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Audiology, and Speech & Language Pathology.

In-Home Respite

In-home respite services, funded by Illinois Department of Human Services, provide trained caregivers to supervise and assist people with developmental disabilities in their home. Respite workers give caregivers much-needed support and relief from the 24-hour responsibility of caring for a family member with a disability. Limited residential respite is available for adults 18 years and older.

Individual & Family Support Unit

Provides counseling, education, and support to enable individuals to live in a community environment such as their natural home or independent living. Individuals are supported to remain integral members of their family and community. Supports provided are based on individual need and include money management, futures planning, etc.

The Greenhouse at The Arc

Provides hands-on experiences and work opportunities for the people we support, utilizing the various tasks associated with running a greenhouse.
